With Einhorn directing the pilot episode as well. And on the production side of things, ABC Studios is the studio helming this project.
What’s this show about?
Based on the show’s creator Tim Doyle’s childhood, The Kids Are Alright depicts the life of an Irish-Catholic family of ten during the 1970s. The 70s was one of the most unstable times in American history. Add that to rising eight boys in a three-bedroom house in Los Angeles suburbs. McCormack and Cudlitz will play the heads of the household – Peggy and Mike Cleary. She’s a traditional housewife adept at stretching the family’s already tight budget to its limits. And, inspired by the events that are happening around her, yarns to find her independence. While he’s working all day long to be able to provide for his family.
While the rest of the rest of the actors mentioned above will portray the pair’s eight sons.
