Who’s in charge?

When it comes to the people who will be bringing us the new take on this The CW classic, the Roswell reboot is written and executive produced by Carina Adly MacKenzie. Who you might know from her work on The Originals. Along with MacKenzie, Lawrence Bender, Chris Hollier, Kevin Kelly Brown, Darryl Frank, Justin Falvey and Julie Plec also serve as executive producers on this new series. While on the network and production company side of things this project is backed by Amblin Television, Bender Brown Productions as well as Warner Bros. TV.

What’s this show about?

While the original Roswell detailed the lives of human and alien teenagers living in the small town of Roswell, New Mexico. To modernize the Reboot, Mackenzie is adding an immigrant twist to it. Because the Roswell reboot will follow Liz Ortecho, a biomedical researcher and the daughter of undocumented immigrants, who comes back to her hometown, only to find out that the boy she liked in high school Max is actually an alien. But just as Liz and Max are reconnecting and trying to get to the bottom of Max’s ancestry, a terrible attack is launched. And it not only puts a strain on the quickly developing romantic relationship between Liz and Max. But also uncovers a government conspiracy spanning decades.
