Superman and Cat will be back on Supergirl
This was quite a joyous week for Supergirl fans. This week we found out that not only Calista Flockhart will be back to reprise her role as Cat Grant in the final two episodes of Supergirl season 2, but that Tyler Hoechlin will be back as Superman as well. And even though we will see Superman join his cousin only in the Supergirl season 2 finale, it’s still great news, because the chemistry between the two superheroes was amazing in the first two episodes of Supergirl season 2.
First Killjoys sneak peek
Although we have to wait until June 30 to see the first of ten episodes of Killjoys season 3, yesterday Space channel treated us to the very first sneak peek of Killjoys new season. It was a 30-second clip (watch below) in which old scenes from season 2 were mixed with brand new ones. In the clip, we hear Dutch trying to convince somebody to join her team in their fight against Aneela.

Shadowhunters renewed for season 3
Show renewals usually is a loud affair, but this week one show got renewed pretty quietly. (Although we expect the big announcement to come in upcoming weeks.) As SpoilerTV reports, Shadowhunters is, in fact, coming back for season 3. Which is good news for fans of the show, because it means that whatever happens in the second half of Shadowhunters season 2, which starts airing on June 5, will have a continuation, no matter how big of a cliffhanger season 2 will end on.
SyFy’s The Magicians and Hulu’s The Path also get third seasons
On top of Shadowhunters being renewed, two other popular series got new season orders this week. First of all, SyFy’s fantasy series The Magicians will be back for season 3. And it is always welcome to finds out a TV show has been renewed ahead of its season finale, which airs on April 19. Additionally, Hulu’s drama The Path also will be back for a 13-episode third season sometime next year.
Arrow promotes two actors to series regulars
Lastly, now we know that on Arrow season 6 we will be seeing much more of Wild Dog and Black Canary (the new version), because the actors who play these vigilantes Rick Gonzalez and Juliana Harkavy have been promoted to series regulars. Arrow season 6 is shaping up to be more interesting every second.
Important TV moments
MacGyver season 1 finale
Probably one of the most significant TV moments this week was the Macgyver season 1 finale. This freshman show, which is a reboot of 80s TV series by the same name, has enjoyed significant success, attracting a big fan following and earning season 2. And this success could be seen in the series finale which was explosive, intense and quite an amazing way how to end their first season.
The Black Fairy descends on Storybrook
Another quite an important TV moment was seeing the Black Fairy finally make her way to Storybrook this week. Which most likely means, that the final chapter of Once Upon a Time’s season 6 story has just begun. And we will see the story intensify even more as it leads up to OUAT season 6 finale.
Major on teenage girl brain
Lastly, I can’t forget to mention iZombie’s Major on teenage girl brain as one of this week’s important TV moments. Because that was probably one of the funniest TV moments I have seen in a while. iZombie is well known for their comedy, with all the main actors having their funny moments in virtually every episode, but Robert Buckley’s performance on iZombie season 3 episode 2 was just something special.
