Any Heartland news is good Heartland news, and this time around we have some big Heartland news to share with you. No, I’m not talking about Heartland being renewed for season 13 or premiering this year. Truth be told it’s a bit too early for any renewal news. However, the news is related to the Heartland season 12 premiere date. Because we finally have the exact date for when the twelfth season of Heartland will launch. Ready for it? Here we go!
Heartland season 12 premiere date
So without further ado, we’re happy to report that the Heartland season 12 premiere date is Sunday, January 6, 2019. That’s right, Heartland will premiere on the very first Sunday of next year and will air on CBC at 7 pm as per usual.
The announcement was made on the weekly Heartland blog, which officially started the Heartland season 12 premiere date countdown. 63 days as of today, and counting!

About Heartland season 12
Although we are still 2 months away from the Heartland season 12 premiere date, and no new promos have been released for the upcoming twelfth season of the show, there are a few tidbits that we know about the new Heartland season.
We do know that most of your favorite characters will be back. From Amy, Ty, Jack, Lou, Tim and Georgie to Lisa, Mitch, Jade, Caleb, Wyatt, Jen and more, all actors playing these characters have shown up in behind-the-scenes photos and tweets shared by the Heartland official social media accounts. Plus there will be new characters for us to get to know this season since Heartland is no stranger to fun new guest stars for the main cast to share the screen with.
We also know that there will be new non-human actors gracing our screens once Heartland season 12 does launch. Meaning that Amy, as well as Georgie and Ty, will be working with and healing new horses. Which is great news for everyone who is like us and whose favorite storylines include Amy trying to figure out what’s wrong with her latest client horse. And there might even be new animal-related storylines for the other main characters as well. For example, Lou having to deal with a hoard of sheep… That sounds like an entertaining and a very Heartland-like storyline, don’t you think?
It’s noon in Alberta and it’s the last day for filming exterior scenes. It starts with a bang: Lou (@MichelleMorgan_) has to deal with 140 even-toed ungulates. Remember them? They’ve been on Heartland before. 😁

And last but not least we hear that this new Heartland season will feature some new, never before seen locations. Like a truck stop, for example. Not sure what Amy and Ty are doing at a truck stop, all dressed up no less. But we will definitely find out once the season 12 finale rolls around sometime next spring. But first, make sure to tune in on January 6 to see the first of the eleven Heartland season 12 episodes!

According to Up Faith & Family Heartland season 12 will begin airing on their channel this July.

The season usually starts airing in the US once it has finished airing in Canada. And since the last episode of season 12 airs in Canada this Sunday, March 7th, hopefully, there will be an announcement of season 12 coming to the US soon.
Why is Heartland not shown in Richmond, VA? I use to faithfully watch this program on Sunday nights at 7pm on Channel UP. Please put this back on TV. I loved this show. So do many others in this area. Thank you for anything you can do to help us out in Richmond, VA

It’s hard to say, Joan. I know that UP Faith & Family is streaming Heartland season 11 right now. And that Light TV is currently airing Heartland season 8 so you can check with these broadcasters and see if there is a way for you to watch them where you live. And Netflix US also has Heartland seasons 1 through 10, with season 11 coming sometime this year. So that’s another way you can watch Heartland.
it sounds like s12 will be good…..as long as the original cast has major roles and screentime.
little disappointed that georgie is included with amy and ty healing horses. it should be just amy and ty .. conferring with scott. truly was hoping georgie would have minimal storylines since she gobbled up most of season 10 and 11 which (obviously) i did not find compelling. thanks for the info; really am quite happy there is a s12 and hoping for more!
