For a while now fans of CBC’s Heartland have been wondering if there will be another season of their favorite show. Or if season 12 is the show’s last. And this worry stemmed from the fact that the twelfth season of Heartland was only given 11 episodes instead of 18 which was the length of all the rest of the Heartland seasons except the first one. Well, the wait is finally over because news just broke that Heartland is, indeed, getting another season. That’s right, Heartland season 13 is happening, friends!

The announcement was made by none other than the show’s lead actress Amber Marshall who plays Amy Fleming on the series.

During her announcement, Amber not only told us about the fact that CBC had renewed Heartland for season 13. But also thanked fans for their continuous support. Because let’s face it, 13 seasons is a long time to love a show. But if you are a true Heartland fan like us, then you know how easy it is to love this wholesome family drama.
What we know about Heartland season 13
Since the announcement of the renewal just went live, not much is known about Heartland season 13. We do know that the season will consist of 10 episodes, which, although is one less episode than season 12 is still great news. Yet, beyond that we don’t know if all your favourite actors will be back for the new season. Or what stories will be told during it. But what we do know is that we can expect another amazing season filled with family and horses. After all, those are the cornerstones of Heartland. And those are also the two things that make so many people fall in love with this series so quickly.

But while we wait for more news on Heartland season 13, let’s remember that there are still two episodes left in Heartland season 12. And I have a feeling that these two episodes are going to inform us quite a bit about what we can expect to see in season 13.

I am soooooo glad there is a season 13 coming . I have been pretty unable to walk for quite some time , watching this brilliant show took my mind off my predicament, and made my life bearable . I adore all of the characters, Amy , Ty , and Jack being my very faves , but i do love everyone else too . Can’t thank CBC enough for the new season , it would be wonderful if it can go beyond .
Best show / series ever. Heartwarming, kind, gentle, great morals. To see a family that loves one another even when there is difficulties and friends that stand by each other, is uplifting. They show that family and friends can work things out or accept what is and support one another. Beautiful country side. The show sends the message of caring for animals is important. Yes, lets keep the show going. it is a relax from drugs, guns, sex, and violence on the TV today. It is sweet and kind – the show makes you think twice on how I should personally act. When Amy gave in and let Lisa have a fireplace stone – it was a message of sharing something that is special and not holding resentments. I was touched by how difficult that was for her but it was the right thing to do. The show makes me think about how should I act when I am put in that situation – you hear Grampa’s voice “Weeeell, Lisa, Amy, Gee, etc…”
It’s not muddled with political correctness. It allows for it but the show does not shove it in your face….it is more like real life. People are different for various reasons and that is ok….embrace the person but not focus on changing the whole show to blank. I am so sick of shows like Pretty little Liars, Claws and Lucifer or violence like Empire, SOA, etc. I can’t even stand watching the trailers or the advertisements.
I have enjoyed Heartland so much and wonder if it will continue on Netflix. Please, please say YES!!
Since Netflix US just added season 11 to their catalogue I’d imagine they will continue to add new seasons in the future as well.

Heartland must never stop i think a lot of people actually learn something from the stories being told,and we love the actors of heartland
I got hoked by accident, I was cleaning house one day and sat down for a break to watch Home Improvement on the Up channel and Heartland was on, been hooked ever since. Is the season 13 going to be on UP TV also? and when will it start and time slot please….Love Amy & Ty and Grampa, Love him he keeps them all in line…
It probably will be eventually, but after it finishes airing on CBC since it hasn’t even aired in Canada yet.
I binge watched all of the 12 seasons of heartland. I felt bereft when it finished. I don’t normally watch programs like this. But it just relaxed me so much x s

I have just completed all 12 seasons …….Just loved it so much. Can’t explain the peaceful feeling it gave me daily. A life I can only dream to live. Thank you for that beautiful series.
