Despite the outcry from fans and a fierce #SaveShadwhunters campaign, Shadowhunters is still ending. But luckily there will be 12 episodes, including a two-hour series finale event titled “The Final Hunt” to wrap up the show and give fans an ending that they deserve. So in this article, we will look at everything we know about the second half of Shadowhunters season 3 and the show’s series finale.
The start date for Shadowhunters season 3B
First, let’s talk dates. Because in order to be able to watch the second half of the third season of Shadowhunters aka Shadowhunters season 3B as well as the two-part finale, we need to know when to tune in.
According to Freeform, the show’s home network, Shadowhunters 3B will begin airing of Monday, February 25.

After which the rest of the final episodes of Shadowhunters will air on Freeform on Monday nights. It’s hard to say as of right now if it will be on subsequent Mondays or if there will be week-long gaps between some of the episodes since that depends on Freeform’s schedule. But I can say that by the time summer’s here Shadowhunters will have concluded their 3-season run.

This latest Shadowhunters 3B trailer not only shows our favorite characters back in action. But also highlights the show’s newest addition. And gives us a glimpse at what we can expect to see during the final episodes of Shadowhunters.
The new faces of Shadowhunters’ final episodes
We also can reveal that you will be able to see three new faces during Shadowhunters season 3B. First and foremost, Luke Baines will be playing the role of the real Jonathan Morgenstern. No more glamours or impersonating other Shadowhunters. Season 3B will be bringing us Jonathan in his true form, and his face will look like that of Luke Baines’.

Also joining the cast will be Kimberly-Sue Murray and Sydney Meyer. Murray will be portraying the older version of the Seelie Queen. While Meyer will be taking on the role of Shadowhunter Helen Blackthorn.
These three actors are the latest additions to the ever-growing Shadowhunters cast. Among whom are Katherine McNamara, Emeraude Toubia, Dominic Sherwood, Alberto Rosende, Isaiah Mustafa, Harry Shum Jr., and Alisha Wainwright among other recurring cast members.
3B episode titles & beyond
If you love to scour the internet for clues about upcoming episodes of shows you love just like us, then you probably know that usually the networks of said shows release the episode titles and a short synopsis for the newest episodes before they even air. And Shadowhunters is no different, which is why we do know the official title and synopsis for Shadowhunters season 3 episode 11. As well as the titles of a few more episodes.
Shadowhunters season 3 episode 11 aka the mid-season premiere of the second part of the third season of Shadowhunters will be titled “Lost Souls”. And during the episode, we will see all of our characters still reeling from the loss of Clary. Alec and Isabelle will be keeping a close eye on Jace, happy to have their brother back but worried that losing Clary and the things he did as The Owl will be too much for him to handle. Magnus will be trying to come to terms with life without his magic. Maia will be helping Simon who not believes that he’s the reason Clary died, but also is still feeling the loss of his family. With Luke frantically trying to prove that Clary is not really gone. And Clary finding herself in a dangerous new predicament with her brother.
And here are the four sneak peeks that have been released by Freeform ahead of the Shadowhunters season 3B premiere.
Then, a week later, on March 4, we will get to enjoy episode 12 which is titled “Original Sin”. And it will show Clary and Jonathan in Paris. With Clary desperately trying to find a way out of the situation she’s in.
And we even know what the last two episodes of Shadowhunters ever will be called. Shadowhunters season 3 episode 21, which will be the first of the two episodes that will compile the Shadowhunters two-part finale titled “The Final Hunt”, will be called “Alliance”. With episode 22 holding the title “All Good Things…”.
What we can expect from Shadowhunters season 3B
Lastly, when it comes to what can we expect from the last batch of episodes of Shadowhunters, one thing is clear, Jonathan is resurrected, in his true form and ready to raise hell. Because, as the series’ showrunner Todd Slavkin told TVLine, Jonathan will be a “new level of evil that [we] can’t even imagine”. And from the looks of it, Clary will be directly in his crosshairs. At least she will also finally have a chance to really understand her brother and what he has been through.
Additionally, both Lilith and Maia will be back for the final episodes of Shadowhunters as well. We will get quite a lot of good Sizzy scenes and moments. Clace will reunite, yet both Clary and Jace will have their fair share of problems to work through. While all Malec fans can look forward to a hard and heartbreaking, yet beautiful journey for the couple during the last twelve episodes of the show. Because, due to sacrificing his powers in order to save Jace in Shadowhunters season 3A, Magnus will be learning a whole new way of life as a mundane. And that may or may not include some dancing and a lot of domestic scenes between Alec and Magnus.
