Heartland Renewed for Season 14

And UPtv Announces Heartland Season 13 US Cable Premiere Date

It’s true, Heartland has been renewed for season 14 by CBC Television!

Heartland fans have long-awaited news on whether there will be another season of their favorite show or not. And finally, the time has come to find out the faith of this family drama!

And it is that Heartland will, indeed, be back for season 14! Ensuring that the show’s reign as Canada’s longest-running one-hour scripted drama will continue!

The announcement

The season 14 renewal announcement first came via a press release from CBC. And then via subsequent social media posts from the official Heartland accounts and an article on the official Heartland blog!

What do we know about Heartland season 14?

Since the announcement not much more has been revealed about the fourteenth season of Heartland. Only that it will air in Winter 2021 (of course if the current state of the world allows the cast and crew to complete the new season in time for this to happen).

This means that we will have to wait a little bit longer to watch the upcoming season since usually, the new season of Heartland arrives in the fall.

However, this isn’t the first time CBC has changed up the schedule. Season 12 started airing in January of 2019 as well. And it was quite nice to soak up all the warm feelings Heartland always brings to its viewers during the coldest months of the year.

Thanks to CBC’s press release we also now know that the fourteenth season of Heartland will consist of ten episodes. And that among the season 14 filming locations are Calgary as well as several other locations in Alberta such as High River, Millarville, and Longview. This means that during the season we will definitely get to see most of the iconic Heartland locales including the Heartland ranch, Maggie’s, and many more.

I also hear that the writers of the show (Heather Conkie, Mark Haroun, Ken Craw, and Alexandra Clarke) have been hard at work for months now figuring out the storylines for the upcoming season. And according to Amber Marshall, the filming of season 14 begun on September 9th.

Now that season 14 has begun filming we should start hearing about which cast members will be back for the new season. But at the moment we can say for certain that Amy, Ty Lou, Lyndy, Georgie, Caleb, Jade, Lisa and Grandpa Jack will return since Amber Marshall, Graham Wardle, Shaun Johnston, Michelle Morgan, Alisha Newton, Kerry James, Madison Cheeatow, Jessica Steen and the Spencer twins (who play Lyndy) all have posted about being back on set. And hopefully, we will hear news about the rest of the main and recurring cast being back on the Alberta set soon.

UPtv sets Heartland season 13 US cable premiere

But that’s not all as far as Heartland announcements are concerned.

On top of Heartland getting a 14th season UPtv has also set the Heartland season 13 cable premiere date.

So, without further ado, Heartland season 13 will premiere on UPtv on Thursday, June 4th at 8/7 central. Letting all those Heartland fans in the US who have cable finally enjoy the latest Heartland season.

Of course, Heartland season 13 has already been streaming on UP Faith & Family since February 13. However, if you don’t have a subscription to the UP Faith & Family streaming service, now you will also be able to see what Amy, Ty, Jack, Lou, Tim, Georgie and the rest of the gang were up to in season 13.

What’s more, the Heartland digital series Hudson will be on after that. This means that everyone who wasn’t able to watch it on CBC Gem will be able to see all six episodes of Hudson season 1 on UPtv!

  1. I really wish CAnadas tv would sign an agreement with US Tito air Heartland. So many of us want to watch the show but can’t afford cable or the streaming options.
My only recourse is to watch the episode trailers and read each episode review on This website, which I am so grateful for . Thank you.
I have every season dvd . It’s difficult at 72 to have to wait and see if another season dvd is coming out.
    Just wanted to vent.

  2. I am a 67 year old widow, and I fell in love with this series the cast the crew of “Heartland” ! For the first time in my life, I have become “obsessed” with a tv series! It’s never happened to me before, not ever! It is devastating to know that Graham is leaving, I get it, it is time for him to pursue other things in his career, but I do not think these 2 beautiful talented people,(Graham and Amber) realize just how much they have influenced the people in this world! The Love they portray on screen feels so real to me, it’s hard to fathom that it’s not real…. I don’t know, maybe the loss of my husband of 45 years in 2012 truly unhinged me? I do know that “Heartland” helped me grieve his loss, and I got so involved with all the cast members of this show, they sort of feel like my family to me! I truly love their love story it gave me hope during some of my darkest days. I do not know if I have the strength to watch season 14, I don’t think I could handle the pain of watching Ty die and what that would do to Amy and Lindy or Jack for that matter….. 💔💙🥲

  3. In a time when the world’s gone mad and people are grasping for anything to just ‘feel good’ again. WHY, WHY, WHY in heaven’s name would you kill off a beloved character such as Ty? That’s just ruined the show for me now. I can’t trust it anymore as a ‘safe place’ to land at time when we need all the positivity we can get. Shame on you! When are networks going to understand?

    1. I know it’s sad. But you have to understand that CBC didn’t just suddenly decide to kill off Ty, Graham Wardle chose to leave the show after 13 seasons to pursue other passions (which is understandable, 14 years is A LOT of time). We should thank both Graham and CBC for making the most of Graham’s exit and actually creating a storyline that’s meaningful and beautiful.

    2. Oh No.. I wish so had not read these reviews in search of a season 14..
If Ty is to die off I don’t believe I will find thejoy in watching it …
I was widowed at a young age of 27 with a 5 year old daughter and 4 month old twins,a son and a daughter of which my son is Down syndrome and the journey has been real .. to find joy in this series has been lots to look forward too in the good of folks.. especially in the world and conditions we are living in today…
Don’t think I want to volunteer for any more Saddness than what the world already has to get on a daily basis…
